L.A. Lesson: Going out of Business

As you are already aware of, there are too many stores going out of business. Two more establishments are becoming extinct. BlockBuster and Black Angus Restaurants will be calling it quits.

In the process, over 35,000 persons will be unemployed or underemployed. This is what happens when the economy falters. Plain folks are having difficulty making their payments. Therefore, they do not have money (or credit) to spend.

Since no one is buying, stores and restaurants lose out. All these overpriced establishments could not pay for their creditors and they have to shut down. People are just holding on to their money and purchase only the bare necessities. The days of excess have gone by the wayside. If the items are not needed, then they will be ignored. All these redundant sales are worthless. Christmas after Christmas, New Year's after New Year's, Winter after Winter, Valentines' Day after Valentines' Day, etc. How many more holidays of purchasing can the public support?

The people have made their choices and it is to pay the required monthly payments. The extra cash, if any, is for a rainy day. You no longer have to buy products from rude and snotty sales people, nor do you have to support their extravagant lifestyles. We, as the consumers, have been eating crow's feet for too long.

Now, it is their turn to taste it X>. They will not like it, but they all brought it upon themselves. No bailout money here, good day to you sir!

Until the next lesson, Stay Down!
